Fluency and literacy in te reo Mori - Level 1 80-100% (Te reo Mori is the principal language of communication and instruction and it is expected that all students in the programme will interact freely in Mori).
This paper examines indigenous theory and practice, indigenous language revival and indigenous language revitalisation. It also looks at Mori immersion education activities alongside other indigenous languages initiatives. Also included is an exploration of the way immersion education in overseas contexts can strengthen Mori immersion education in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
